About

Alexandre obtained his MSc'04 in Artificial Intelligence & PhD'07 in Image Processing from Paris Sorbonne and Descartes Universities. He pursued much of his early research on 2D/3D deformable models for object tracking. He then shifted toward the understanding of cell motility, shape and their underlying mechanisms, working at the Institut Pasteur (3 years in Seoul as Junior Scientist, and 10 years in Paris as post-doc then Principal Investigator) and Imperial College London (1 year as an Invited Researcher). He then joined Total in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer for Geosciences, and was appointed Principal Investigator in Digital Rock Physics in 2021. His interests include digital imaging (notably microscopy), image processing and mathematical modelling, with a hint of software development to bing it all together.
