Thanks for the clarification, the ROI fill tool is sufficient for now.

Would highly recommend/like to have a 3D view clipper!

Thank you for this great tool btw!

My question still stands but I just discovered the fill interior/exterior tool.

For anyone curious, you can create a ROI and intersect it with your area of interest. Then with it selected, press fill interior and it will crop everything within its bounds. If you press fill exterior it will crop everything outside of the ROI. You can use the tool in 3D mode.

Thanks for the response. I’ll try to explain better.

I want to have a 3D view that is cropped to a specific shape. In other programs you can adjust the bounding box of the object, say the x axis, and as it passes through your model it effectively crops everything that is > than your position on the x axis while still being able to see the 3D model.

Right now, the only way I have been able to do this is by selecting a rectangular 2D ROI and pressing fast crop. This is what I want, but its laborious and I have to readjust the ROI, then recreate the stack, then readjust the levels each time I want a different area. Is there another way to crop an object?

Say you have a spherical object and you want to see what it would look like in 3D if you cut it in half. Without using the fast crop, is there any other-way of doing this with Icy?
