This plugin allows users to generate multiple crops of a specific size randomly from a given sequence.

This plugin allows users to generate multiple crops of a specific size randomly from a given sequence.

Using “Generate random rectangles” the user can generate random rectangle ROIs on the sequence.

This plugins can be used as a protocol blocks as well by the name “Generate Random Crops” and “Generate Random Rectangle Rois”.

The parameters for this plugin are:

• The target sequence
• The size of the generated crops
• The number of crops to generate
• Whether the crops should be generated inside any of the existing ROIs on the target sequence (this is useful when only certain areas on the sequence need to be cropped).

When using the option “Limit rectangles to ROI”, the random rectangle generation will be performed only inside the existing ROIs on the sequence.
