Polyline 3D: export point coordinates

Home Forums General Issues Polyline 3D: export point coordinates

  • raacampbell

    Hello,

I have a 3D image stack and want to annotate lines/curves within it. I have clicked along the features with Polyline 3D but upon export it seems to save statistics of the shape and not the coordinates of the points I clicked. It is the point coordinates which are meaningful to me. Is there any way to get these exported, please?

    Hello,

By default indeed it will just export data about the global shape (mean intensity for instance). If you want to have the profil along the line then you can use the Path Intensity Profil plugin (just type its name into the search bar of Icy to access it).
It will produces you a table (that you can export in XLS) with each points of the line providing coordinates and intensity values:

    Path intensity profile

    Hope that helps !

The intensity profile tool works with a line in 2D but with Polyline 3D it seems not work: the intensity as a function of distance graph is empty. It correctly titles the plot according to the selected ROI, though.

Note that i specified “path intensity profil” plugin which is different from the “intensity profil” plugin 🙂

    Got it!

We indeed need to improve the old “intensity profil” plugin to bring support of 3D ROI 🙂
