finding and opening Icy on Windows

Home Forums Installation finding and opening Icy on Windows

I’ve downloaded the openJDK11U_jdk_x64 on my system, ensured I have the most updated version of Java, and have all installation files saved in C:\Icy. Also, using the cmd promt, if I run:

C:\Icy>java -version“, I indeed get the return:

    “openJDK version “1.8.0_242

    OpenJDK Runtime Environment (AdoptOpenJDK)(build 1.8.0_242-b08

OpenJDK Client VM (AdoptOpenJDK)(build 25.242-b08, mixed mode)

However, I cannot seem to find where in C:\Icy the ‘run application’ file is located. When I so a system search for the application “Icy,” I get an error that the system cannot find the file. Therefore, after the download/install, how do I then open this application?

P.S. I sincerely apologize if this is a dim question…I’m fairly new to navigating informatics platforms.

    Dear Shannon Martin,

We migrated on the image.sc forum and this forum is now closed. You can get more info here.

Could you please re-post your question on the image forum and in the optionnal tags, write “icy”? This way the Icy team, but also the whole bioimage analysis community can help you and benefit from the answer.

Many thanks in advance and see you soon on the image.sc forum!

    Best regards,

    Marion, for the Icy team
